Join us on Thursday October 8 from 7pm-9pm for the opening reception of "Your Turn", a play and game themed art exhibition! RSVP on Facebook HERE.
Enjoy refreshments provided by CAVA Mezze (http://www.cavamezze.com/), try your hand at some classic games, and catch a special appearance by magician and "Planchette" star, Brian Kehoe!People have played games for millennia. Play is not only an escape, but also a tool for learning how to live in the world around us. Games help us connect with one another, build skill sets, and most importantly exercise the human imagination. It is through our imaginations that all possibilities can be conceived: alternate universes, creative problem solving, or even to better understand the stranger next door.
Games have been played in the Carroll Mansion since it was built in 1811, but it wasn’t until 1929, when the building became a recreation center, that play became its central focus.
Featured artists: Johan Lowie, Cheng Cao, George Lorio, Roopa Dudley, Chris Fortney, Gary Cuddington, Sanzi Kermes, and Rachelle Terry.
This is a Free Fall Baltimore event. For more information about Free Fall Baltimore, visit http:// www.freefallbaltimore.org/.
