A Solo Art Show by Libby Formant

The Carroll Mansion Art Gallery is proud to present Sunset, a solo art show by Libby Formant. Opening on March 8th, 2014 and running until April 27th, 2014, this collection of original art promises to inspire, provoke, and intrigue. The Carroll Mansion Art Gallery is located within the Carroll Mansion at 800 E Lombard St. and is free and open to the public from 12 to 4 pm on Saturdays and Sundays. 

Libby Formant is a painter and illustrator based in Baltimore, MD. After receiving a degree in Studio Art and Art History from the University of Maryland, College Park, Libby pursued a career in museums where she has worked in a variety of capacities.

Her artwork has been highly influenced by cultural and historical studies, employing sourced imagery to build narrative and commentary. Sunset is a collection of selected works exploring the concepts of time and legacy. This collection addresses our human fears of mortality while offering an alternative perspective of acceptance and transformation.
